brake caliper piston lube?

Coppaslip(brand name of Comma I think), some times sold as copper grease, should get it from almost any motor shop, halfwits etc, all I ever use on brakes.

remember only BEHIND the pads!

Copper slip is wonderful stuff - put it on everything you want to take apart again (at some point unspecified) and magically it comes apart when you next want it to.

Buy a nice big tub of it, put a small paint brush in it and keep it close to hand at all times!

Sorry my first post wasn't quite clear, I'll ammend the title.

Its the stuff you use to lubricate the pistons in the caliper, (comes in contact with brake fluid).
Some caliper repair kits come with a little sachet of it.
I have searched just abourt every where i can think of.

The red grease it seems very hard to get now, no factors keep or will get it. Last time i got some it was from some MG parts place that came up on a search on google.

ps if you speak to ebc tech dept ask them about copper ease on the back of pads interesting if any pads have copper ease on it the will not give any warrenty on them

best thing to do is leave the new seals soaking in a jar of new clean brake fluid for a few hours before you attempt to fit them

The grease goes under the name 'Castrol Girling Rubber Red Grease'
It's specially formulated for brake cylinders/calipers etc.
