Water jets

Hi all i need to take the jets out front and back how do they come out can't seem to find it in the haynes?

Windscreen washer jets? I think you'll find if you take them out they don't go back properly, something about the tags on the back of them breaking, I think you have to get replacements!

Says about the fluid and the bottle and shows a pic but doesn't talk about removing the jets. :(

Tony,
They do come out but are a bit of a pain, as Cate says the tags at the back break really easy.
Think if you twist them 90 deg and then get the smallest screwdriver you can just about push the tags in, otherwise Golf/Polo rear ones are the same and are easier to remove, so a trip to the scrapy might be worth while.

If youre replacing them you could always go for those 3 way squirters that bernd jaeger sells. They look pretty cool.

I just replaced mine. From GSF they were £7 the pair but you can buy twin-jet lightup jets for under £3 incl postage on ebay - for a pair. Thats what I did. Now really does clean the windscreen although you do need to top up the water more frequently.

Mind you, the extra lights have now put my sidelights to shame so I'm considering replacing them with LED versions. Should compliment the under-dash lighting:)
