camped this weekend van was side on to the wind
mrs said mid morning whats is that smell
stale sort of smell from fridge
question is could the wind have been pushing the fumes back down vent tube it all conected ok
when i got home tonight relit fridge
no wind no smell
if this is this is the problem any ideas

I take it your fridge vent is the Squarish aluminium Electrolux one?
These type of vents have a black square rubber?compound type flap to prevent 'blowback' if yours is missing it is possible, but highly unlikely, that you could have had exhaust fumes blowing back, I would have thought any blowback would have blown the gas flame out.
Could it not just have been a stale fridge after all?

Obtain one and fit it pronto, It's the last thing you fit onto the piece that's rivetted to the outside of your van, before the final external big square cover ( it has a slit cut into it to enable it to hang loose on the end of the vent) it's there for a purpose.
Try any decent caravan accessory shop or ebay, or one of the breakers on this site.
