Wind deflectors?

Post by crazydiamond »

I keep seeing reference to door side wind noise deflectors for somewhere around £50 say they cut wind noise down. Anyone know if these fit on the vertical front edge of the doors or are they for the front of the door adjacent to the window? Do they work, and if so anyone got one for me to have a look at, I dont fancy £50 so might make my own if I can find out what they look like.

Mercus sells wind deflectors.... don't know the price, but they go along the top of the window aperture. I know Jake's impressed with his - lets him have two windows open rather than one, which is obviously bad.

They are a lot less than £50 from Mercus Mr Crazy and I have to say they are tip top and very discrete compared to the huge spock ears you get stuck to the side of some cars.

They only go at the top though, btween the paralels of the windy up window and they stop the wind and rain blowing into your face while allowing fresh air in and bad smells out. According to the manufacturer they also stop localised hypothermia in the winter which IMHO has to be a good thing.

So Torz or Matt any ideas? Do they work and do they just fill the gap between door and A panel?
