and just checking - 4.5 litres of oil for a 1.9 diesel?

thanks mate

mine stays on for about 3 or 4, but only when cold

just checking the oil as I've got to drop the sump to check it for splits, got a pain of a leak somewhere and its bugging me. hopefully just the gasket. I have spare sump but its been welded at some point

Maybe a faulty pressure switch but more likely to be a worn pump, fairly common problem on the 1.9's and other engine based on same block

andy, why would a fault with the switch or pump cause this? Do you mean it would casue either too high of pressure or something else?
