2.1dj with 1.9dg tank

fitted it up runs lumpy and cuts out alot checked everything can only think of fuel tank? swirl pot thingy? air mixin with fuel so rough as- got 1/4 tank of petrol in her but (throws himself on the floor wavin arm and legs!!) i dont wana change the tank!!! 20mins to get off 2 weeks to get back on!! any ideas?? pleeeeeeese help me :cry:

i've not done the conversion, i'd like 2, can you not build/ use a remote swirl pot, seems a logical answer

I put a 2.1DJ in place of my 1.9DF and kept the original tank. Didn't seem to cause any problems.

Am I right in thinking that the 2.1 tank is different from the 1.9? i.e. there is no return fuel line and swirl pot. on the vag kat website the same tank is listed for all the engines MV,JX,KY,DF,DG,DJ,SP,SR,SS

Injection tanks are different to carb and diesel tanks

oh yes! theres a swirl pot and the outlet and inlet pipes off the tank are larger diameters ! any way the fronts ever so slightly lower than the back and ive now got 20 quids worth of petrol in now and it still splutters its nuts off so i might have to bite the bullit and stick me 2.1 dj tank back in :evil:
