Luckily I have a 1mtr Snap on break bar, donated from my late Grand father. And nothing has stopped it so far.

Did mine recently and used a trolley jack with a block of wood in the cup to cushion, and drive, a Draper 3/4" drive bar and 46mm socket. It was very easy to remove the nuts. I marked the split pin position and retightened to the same hole using the jack again. No sweat at all. (and no need for a fat bloke, I am only a lightweight!)

You got me worried now Dave.
Do you think I will need a 3/4 or 1 inch bar, as mine is only 1/2 inch.
The last thing I want to do is break it....
