Its been a couple of years since I did this but I'll try from memory. The clutch master is in the drivers footwell, behind the clutch and brake pedal. There are two mounting bolts that keep it in place. There will also be a flexible tube that connects it to the fluid reservoir above and the pipe going to the slave at the back of the van.

A haynes manual may be a sound investment if you intend to do work yourself to the van.

Before taking it off, make sure you clamp the flexible tube, otherwise all the brake/clutch fluid will drain out and you will have to bleed the brakes as well. disconnect the hydraulic pipe to the slave, undo the two mounting bolts and lift it out, taking off the flexi tube. Fitting the new one is just a case of doing everything in reverse.

Then its time to bleed it - make sure that the fluid reservior is topped up and keep an eye on the level during this process. The slave cylinder is on top of the gearbox, with a bleed nipple on it, get somebody underneath the van to open the bleed nipple whilst you push the clutch pedal to the floor, then close it before releasing the pedal (a one-way bleed kit makes this much easier and less messy).

It may take a while of bleeding for it to feel like a proper clutch pedal. You'll know if it has worked if she goes into gear with no grinding.

And I think that this is my longest ever post!

There's also the pushrod, attached to the pedal lever with a clevis pin - remove the split-pin and washer, push the clevis pin out, don't lose! New split pin if you ahve to muller the old one getting it out (sidecutters)

Fine long nose pliers will help, together with a long thin screwdriver possibly.

Lots of rag, or tape a plastic bag under the area, you could drain the clutch fluid into a bottle, or follow Corleone's advice - don't re-use old fluid however clean it looks, water absorbent.

Clutch fluid is poisonous
