The big nut is a blank for checking timing with a dial gauge, i don't know of any adjustments behind this.
The ? is a breather for the lda, when pressure is put on one side of the diaphram it has to move air out of the way on the other side to move freely, it just comes out of that rubber thing.
With having the electric cold start valve i don't think yours will have the idle screw, if it does'nt behind injector 1 there is a rocker on the side of the pump with an adjustment screw either side, from memory the right hand screw is the idle speed.
This pump has a complicated throttle set up, even when it gets full throttle it still has alot more movement, all its doing is just moving a lever against a spring to stop the throttle cable from snapping at full throttle. i think this is what 5 on your diagram points to.

Together with what Simon's told me, that fits and all very helpful stuff - many thanks.
I am going to put the 1/2 turn back on, maybe a bit more, and try to find a way of slowing the idle down, as you say, secret may be on that cold start lever's stop setting, nasty spot to get at though.
