Imported van with kmh speedo - exchanging

Post by type25marko »

I know you can cover dials and buy adaptors to conver km/h to m/p/h but I assume just replacing the head with an mph (uk spec) speedo is the simplest option if you've got one ??

I assume sender is the same on all vehicles and head does all the work.

Any advice

don't know about the technicals of swapping about but if you are going to take the clocks out anyway a mph sticker would mostlikely be the easiest option and will retain the correct odo reading all beit in kph!

It's not necessary, but if you feel you need a speedo in mph then all you need to swap is the head unit.

Plenty of people in ireland will be keen to get their hands on your KPH speedo so you could probably arrange a swap. Not me personally. Im holding out to get a rev counter too.
