Another cambelt changing question

Post by jimmyt »

After reading some stuff about more than one mark on clutch plate for aligning TDC on No1 cylinder I'm getting paranoid that I'm looking at the wrong mark. Heres a pic of my alignment, I've got cams for No1 cyclinder pointing upwards, does this look right?

I can't see any other marks but the seed of doubt has been sown :?

Cheers

Jim

If you line up the cam and injection pump first the crank mark should be obvisous.

I had it all lined up when I took off the cambelt 2 weeks ago, the mark was obvious then and lined up perfectly. Its been sitting for 2 weeks minus the cambelt due to a 'problem' with the camshaft , now I'm ready to fit cambelt but the crankshaft has moved as has the mark on clutch plate. I found the mark again easily enough , hadn't moved that far but I'm just paranoid that its the wrong mark now.

Sorry if I'm drivelling......I need more sleep :?
