repair panel needed

Post by brianjbox »

Hi

This isn't really techinical as I only want to know if you can buy a repair panel, I have some rot to repair on a mates van and it needs a bit of tin replaced/welded in.

The side opposite the sliding door.
Not the sill but the next panel up.

This is the large centre panel and where the big autosleeper grill has leaked, waters run down inside [behind fridge] and rotted a section about 6" long and 2" high.

Do they make a lower repair piece for this panel and if so does anyone know who supplies it.

If this is technical, really sorry but I do only want to buy a panel :)

Many thanks
Brian.

Brian has it rotted next to the floor inside, is so and the rot is 6 inches horizontal and 2 inches high, then the sill repair panel from jk covers it.
mine rotted in exactly that place from the reson you described.
also its a good idea to check the mains inlet socket as the seal fails, as its only foam, this leads to water ingress that runs down the inner arch and puddles along the inner sill inside the van same place as the rot only discovered this after i stripped out the interior to do the sill and arch repairs.
hope this helps Andy
p.s. the panel i mentioned extends to about 4 inches above floor level inside the van.
