Mrs Mash
Just an aside, in the past (even in our tent !) and to be used in our van, we have an inverter with a lesuire battery to power an electric blanket
They don'y use much juice and so don't hammer the battery
Got a new van, but it's a 165bhp T4 [shock horror] Accurate LPG Station map here

Re: Camper bed - head front or feet front !!
The best option every time is feet front, as you deffo don`t want to have your snozzer any closer to a fat n hairy smelly beast than you have to!!!!!

right way around
head to back feet to front.
Done it happily in a t2 on surf /winsurf trips - minimum movement to check for waves/wind - if nothing stay put.
If there are wind and waves its academic - two people in a mad scamble to don neoprene - bound to end in trouble.
to quote Robert Duval in Apocalype Now " I love the smell of neoprene in the morning"
