clocks and wirey bits

Post by dajwid »

I have just got a set of porsche clocks for my bus. 1.6D (but getting changed when I win lotto)

One is a normal tell the time clock, I can wire that in no problem.

Clock 2 is a temp guage, should be better than the normal hit and miss clock. How do I wire it in, can I just piggyback wires from the temp guage on my dashboard?

Clock 3 oil pressure I think (says Bar on it) Can it be fitted or is it a big job?

I also have a rev counter from a diesel of some sort, how can I fit it.

Any ideas would be great as I am new to this lot.. Thanks in advance

Rev counter will need a feed from back of alternator. (I'm not into oil burners but think the wires should be in the loom and just need connecting up)

Temp guage may need you to change the sender to get the range right.

Oil pressure will need a T piece off your engine (so oil warning is still connected).

Some brainbox who has done this before will apear in a cloud of (diesle) smoke and explain better.
