Wipers and Heater have stopped working! Anyone any ideas????

Wipers and Heater have stopped working! Anyone any ideas????

:cry: Does anyone know why my Wipers and Heater motor have just stopped working. Im sure there is a probably a pretty simple explanation... But i am pretty thick!!. All the fuses look Ok.... ?????

Hiya Utterf, swap your fuses round, sometimes they can look ok..

Hi Cate! i told you I was a bit thick. Just checked again and one fuse is blown. Do you know wheres good to get replacements and do they have a specific name??? Thanks, UF.

Always think, why has fuse blown?, if not you better buy a packet full.
Look for short, chafed wires, motors burnt out , switches burnt out?
Fuses are there for a reason so look for the cause of blowing.
Also bad earths plague old vans too :roll:
Believe nothing you hear and only half of what you see.

Thanks TD! - Im thinkin the heater switch needs replacing. 1 and 2 work, 3 doesnt. Switch must be fooked. As a result my heater motor burnt out which has now been replaced (ballache of a job). My battery is also being drained somewhere. Recently had a new stereo fitted by a mate who i believe might of done something he shouldn't... Now got an intermittent ticking relay....AArrrGGHH!!!- These sure are testing times for one without knowledge!!
