All you peep's enthusiasm is contagious and I've now caught the bug. I've had a type25 for 5 years and the closest I've come to modifying it is putting in a timer for the fridge.
Well, now is the time. Next weekend the whole interior is going to be ripped out and rebuilt. No more 3/4 rock'n'roll bed with its evil hinges. The back-seats are being moved to ontop of the bulk-head and are going to be reclinable using piano-hinges and flush-bolts. Electrics are going to be run off of 3 leisure batteries backed up by a mini generator. There is going to be enough space to lift my elbows without giving my partner a black-eye. It will have enough storage space for a year's supply of soup and noodles. The cooker will be easily accessible and the sink will empty without having to drive over a hill.
And we're going to build the fridge ourselves.
The only hard part is chosing the colour.

Dunno about that but I've certainly had a few blood blisters from hitting them with a staple hammer when underlaying staircases - Ouch! doesn't quite cut-it
You might keep an eye on the c80-90 Wiki's Camping - Interior articles here if you haven't already, a good excuse to pop back inside when your fingers are perhaps not stapled but frozen, the two together don't bear thinking about

I've been looking at Isotherm frige kits that come with evaportation plate, compressor unit and thermostat... http://www.isotherm.com/products/build- ... ic2005.htm
They initially draw around 6amps but settle down to around 1.5amps.
The compressors built for 80litres storage so reckon my beer's going to be icey cold .
I'm no engineer, but the kit comes with everything you need.. except for insulation. But they handily do 2" high-density closed foam that can be cut to size.

It's the hinges and boards style that you need the spacer box over the bulk-head. Don't know how much more life the hinges have got in them though.. they're pretty bent out of shape.

Would love to see the finished article - I find its always great when you've done something yourself but also everything is designed to suit your needs and not just a general design to suit most.
plan measure plan again, measure measure measure, then cut, then take lots of photographs for the wiki so the rest of us can either have a laugh/gawk in amazement
