Interior extras or cool stuff ???

Just been away last weekend in the Westy Hightop, I had stowed all the gear and pots and pans etc. in it but the wife couldn't find anything, and I couldn't remember where I had put everything.

What tweaks, extras or couldn't be without accessories have you got in your campers to make life easier? And where do you put stuff so you can get at it easy? Or any other cool stuff you got

If you have any storage that is dificult or imposible to get to with the bed down don't use it for teaspoons, tea, coffee or condoms.

It's like moving into a new house, you and the missus have to decide where to keep everything and then pretty much stick to what you decide or lose things.

There aren't any particular hard and fast rules but use your common, don't put the tins where thay can fall on the children's heads when you do an emergency stop, if you carry hundreds of Lbs of stuff don't put it all in the roof for driving, don't leave the cooking oil where it can be easily punctured and leak all over stuff.

What you don't get right first time you'll soon polish down till your happy.

All we done is just transfered all the stuff from the old T2 Westy Berlin, got to go through it now and remove the stuff we don't need.

Main thing is finding the right place to keep the plates and stuff, in the Berlin the undersink cupboard was perfect for it, the one is this van aint quite the right shape, above the cab may be the place.

Have what the Navy call a 'shake-down cruise' just shove it all in, see how it goes and re-arrange, you'll find everything finds its own level, just keep the kettle, tea, milk and beer to the front.

top tip!
DONT keep achets of salt ( like from Kant Find the Chicken) in the knife and fork drawer, it escapes from the stupid paper sachet and rusts the knifes.....

i found this out to my cost a couple of years ago..........

i keep my van loaded to a bare minimum, cant be doing with clutter!

Small sachets of things are a great idea rather than bottles of tomato sauce etc, you ought to see the bare condiment trays after 8090 has hit a pub! Kleptomaniacs....

top loading cupboard next to the cooker under the swing out table, should have cutouts for storing cups plates bowls etc.

It has, but... Our posh JK Camper Plates don't fit!!!

Ours dont either, so just put em in another cupboard!
Top tip (1)- use a steamer for pots (three tiers) less storage easier to cook on one hob and the food is healthier too.
Top tip (2) - take everything you think you might need on an outing / camping w/e make a note of the stuff you do use, then leave the rest at home next time.

That's the plan, going to go through everything on Saturday.

Got some plastic baskets to put smaller stuff in, in the cupboards.
