Choke wont work!!!

Post by shepster »

I've changed the pull down unit but still no joy, van will start but won't tick over and you have to 'feather' the throttle until it's warm enough to pull away.
Any ideas??????????

Sounds like your choke isn't coming on. When the engine is cold and you have pressed the accelerator once before starting is the choke flap closed?

I don't know, i'll have to get the lid off and check!! It is exactly like the choke isn't working at all.

Checked the flap and had a fiddle about and it now is in fact closed when cold and van starts easily but still won't 'fast idle' so i've cured one problem but still left with another.
