Can anyone help?
ABS fault light on. Any simple checks before I bung it in to a dealer?

you could try checking continuity of each wheel sensor pick up, an open circuit or high resisitance in relation to the the others is going to be duff each sensor will have a tail follow it back to the plug, unplug and stick the meter across the 2 pins, don't know what the resistance should be on t25 but passat ones are 1kohm also have good shuffty and make sure the sensors are not caked in cr@p

Beat me to it.
It sounds like you have a permanent problem, for EG a sensor open circuit.
The reason I asked about the light is that if it went out and then came back on it would more likely to be a reluctor ring damaged etc, if the light comes on and stays on then the problem is alwys there so get the meter out and check the sensors.
Not too sure about what else will put the light on on that system, could be something silly like the brakes lights don't work or the fluid level is low. Not something you see every day and they rarely give trouble.
