Fresh water pipe to tank

Post by ASC »

I'm currently working through a big(ish) list of things to get sorted prior to a crimbo jaunt around Devon.

I noticed that when I filled the under-van water tank from the filler near the passenger door, the pipe leaked a bit.

Closer inspection revealed the pipe leaked a lot.

Even closer inspection revealed the pipe was, in fact, effed.

Anyway, long story short, none of the local DIY places can offer a similar pipe, nor can local caravan specialist Towsure. It's about 5cm or so in diameter and made of a (once) flexible material.

Does anyone on the forum know where about 2m of pipe similar to the picture can be source before Xmas?

Cheers.

Cheers Mark.

Yeah, the stuff they had at towsure was about 1/2 to 2/3 the gauge I need for the T25.

PS. Was admiring the LT when I drove past the other day... Very nice...

Thanks for the help, guys.

Gilliamfishing - what did you ask for in order to get the tubing? Do you know what purpose it servers in the aquarium world?

If I can't get anything sourced by next weekend I'll be back on here begging.

Cheers!

hello its the hose you use from a pond pump to the filterbox. there are different sizes, just go in with your piece of hose they will be able to help you. i had to put a new filler cap on the side of my van coz the lock broke. i fitted a new one then had to fit a new bit of hose from the cap to the tank and this is what i used, same size as the old one and went straight on with a bit of silicone and a couple of jubilee clips, good luck

Thanks for everyone's help.

In the end I managed to get a length of 40mm hose from a koi carp and outside water feature shop near Coal Aston. Helpful chap, sold me 3.5 meters for the price of 2m and had a dog the size of a grizzly bear.

Anyway, tomorrow I'm going to spend most of the day under the van with the heat gun...

What will you be using the heat gun for? I'm just being nosey 'cos I'd like to fit our underfloor water tank and a new filler and hose.
