A little help if possible.
The other day i started the van and it struggled (see https://club8090.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=44435" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;). I have checked the fuel line form the rear of the tank and this was not running fuel. I brought a gallon and put it in and charged the battery. When i tried to restart the van it cranked and cranked ( i knew it would take a while for the fuel to get to the float chambers) i was stopping cranking after about 15 secs each time to let the battery recover a bit. then it just stopped cranking. I can hear the soloniod clicking but not cranking. So where is the best place to get a starter motor from and at what cost ( GSF have 3 different type 4 starters which is the one I want) and what is the best method to check fuel flow to the carbs?

Sure you haven't just flattened the battery? The solenoid will still 'click'. Or the starter may have jammed....

As i check with my daughters L200 battery as a jump start
, it just went Click
, also had a multimeter on itm went from 12.8 to 11.4v on key turn. I would have expected the battery to drop to below 10-9v if the starter moter was trying to turn.

You may well have knackered your starter motor but it is always best to:
1) Put your battery on a good quality charger out of the vehicle and re-charge it fully for 24 hrs, or until showing fully charged
2) Remove starter motor and test it off vehcile on good battery, at least if it is something simple and appears to spin
3) Re-fit everything BUT redo the main power leads, solenoid triggere and especially earths, high power through those for extended periods (100's of amps) can upset a poor connection)
Next time you need to start it from empty float chambers either:
1) remove some plugs
or
2) tip a capful of fuel down the carb throats, so it'll start and run for a few seconds
saving the battery and starter motor.
GSF have said to me - half the starter motors we get back as exchange are perfectly OK when tested
GSF should know the correct starter motor for your CU. Don't give them the new one back until you have compared them side-by-side
