Insurance on Scooby
Sorry if its been asked before, would going from a 1.9 T25 petrol lump to say a 2.2 scooby really push my premiums up?

My engine runs great but I'm weighing up if the saving on fuel and possibly reduced emissions is worth the cost of fitting plus additional insurance. I'm waiting for a response from my insurers to help me weigh up whether its actually worth it. Present engine (recon) has done about 20k.

It will pay for it's self in the end. You will get good money for your engine. Fuel consumption is at least a third better and if ever it goes pop you can always buy another engine/car for about £500, always a ready supply of good second hand scoobies about.
You know it makes sense.

Re: Insurance on Scooby
Mine's gone from £174 to £255 for the Rover V8 I'm about to put in. HIC were pretty cool about it.
