First trip out in the LT

Post by T'Onion »

Took the Florida out at the weekend for our first camping trip (with the good folk off here)

Must say I was very impressed with it , everyone I've spoken to says that the engine noise is unbearable (2.4D) but i found it OK as did Chloe.

The weather was shall we say mighty cold , -5's etc. but the ebber kept us warm , very warm ,in fact on the Saturday night it was only on 2 and i turned it down.

The water heater worked well too.Didn't use the shower ,being a dirty bugger from Sheffield  ,no the switch is playing up at the moment.

I was very impressed with the beds , very easy to use and very comfortable. Katy (daughter) said the upper bed was too big. She's nearly 10 and can sit up (anyone that's meet her knows she a tall 10 y/o).

Everything else worked as it should. First mod that i'm going to do is the upper light bulbs, going to get led replacements.

Glad to hear it Mark.

Any photos then?

I must say, H and I are starting to look at LT's with a view to buying one when we have some cash (Ha - be a fair few years yet!).
I always dreamed of getting a panel van (one on BY at the mo for £500 which looks great) so we could fit it out how we wanted - but now i've gone off that idea and want a proper conversion (i reckon all the bits like shower and eber (and the time to fit it) would cost me more than buying a proper conversion.

Anyway, i am very jealous :D

Shame you have to sell your T25 though....

It's certainly a great van inside, both the layout and condition, now the outside ...... I guess 'individual' would be a good word

Certainly a bargain though :pimp

No we haven't taken any yet

Its like the sven hedin ,in the sven you get an extra bit of cupboard space at the side because the fridge/sink/cooker is on the back panel, on the florida you get the use one of the rear doors ,the inside on ours is in Grey not brown and the outside is just white with the 3 strips

T'hulley u dishing the looks of my van

Thats a brilliant plan Jed.

Do they have the same syncro bits? VC and front and rear diff locks? Looking at some youtube it apears so...

Wicked.

Enquired about that Sven Hedin - but its gone... Good job really as i still havent sold the landy (in fact we have given up trying now).

Better start green laning again :)
