Certainly do Clive, and a hammock to go in the front and...... a bed in the back under the canopy, with storage underneath for wheels and stuff. All works fine.

But engineers already travelled the same path that Doug has now set out on; they ended up creating the Westy Joker Syncro, and (with the exception of the original power unit) anything else is a compromise :P

Very good pictures Simon, excellently dull indeed :)

I'm thinking 'monkeys' looking at that picture Andrew, but a decent joke would be beyond my wit...

I have just got my hands on a full width R&R bed that match my multivan captains seats in my doka.

I am planning on picking it up in the morning and maybe fitting it over the weekend. I will post lots of drab pictures and a write up of my progress  I'm also going to fit a couple of swivel bases to the front seats to see if it pans out as part of the sleeping arrangement too. My doka only has the one back door so i am hoping that during the day my small bog will go against the non door side in the back and at night i can pop it between the front swiveled seats so we can use it. My plan is myself and the Mrs can kip on the bed and if i put a hammock in the rear for the little one just above us we can still use the bog in the front at night.

The idea of this is that if we are camping in lets say Spain or Morocco and its warm at sea level we can camp using a roof tent http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MAGGIOLINA-ROOF-T ... 240%3A1318" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and can sprawl out using the back for cooking etc like i have seen people do and the locker for our clothes and stuff (in plastic containers so they don't get wet) , and if we hit the mountains we can keep warm using the syncros engine pre heater and sleep inside.
