Fridge question

i've just picked up an Electrolux 212a

Quick question, when its plugged in and powered on 230v (mains) Should I hear it doing anything?

also how long will it take to get cold?

Q1 No its quiet as a mouse

Q2 at this time of the year its cold anyway

it works differently to a domestic fridge.

heat moves the gas around the absorption pipes, instead of a pump.

How long should I expect it to take from normal room temp to get cool inside, with nothing in there??
