Hi Folks,
Due to a slight mishap (!) I need to fit a new plastic end cap to the front bumper. (original steel one). I can see that it's mainly held on by the nut and bolt which goes through the bumper, but how the **** does one fit this nut and bolt as there's no access at all to the nut when the end cap is in place!
Do I have to remove the whole bumper, fit the end cap, then re-fit the bumper? If so, does the bumper remove easily just by unscrewing the two bolts? The Haynes manual describes a totally different method of end cap attachment using a screw at the side.

I think there are a couple of different kinds of end caps,
one kind just clip onto the end of the bumper, with the plastic clips on the end caps sliding into the holes on the bumper, the end cap then been secured by the rear bolt/screw into the van body.
the second type also clip on as above and are also secured by a bolt through the bumper and then secured to the body as above.
As you said i recently refitted my front bumper and fitted the end caps with the bolts through the bumper before i then refitted the complete bumper in one piece.

Sorry for the delay in updating. Well having set aside most of the day to sort the end cap (been there....) it took all of five minutes! Unbolted just one end of the bumper which had enough flex in it to give access to the bolt for the end cap. Got through the dreaded MOT for a total of only £120 which in my book is a result.
