Inspecting a reconned engine

Post by Fingle »

Just had my aircooleds engine reconned.
Picking it up this weekend, was wondering if anyone could offer nay advice as to what to look for upon immediate inspection, and watch for / be careful of before I drive too far way.

timing and fueling are critical as is making sure all the tinware and engine bay seals are present.

Unless you are talking about a couple of frequent oil/ filter changes while what little rubbish and microscopic particles clear you are frightenning me.
unless I have been on another planet for about fifty years a fresh built engine should use no oil at all!

if its elite that have done it for you, if you have any problems they will sort them! If you are unsure of anything, pick up the phone and speak to them.
