possability, I need new plates, they are thinner than a thin thing. not a nice noise. trying to cruise up to lights so i dont have to hear it.

next on me list after water pipes

check your wheel nuts.and driveshaft bolts..

ooo eck, drive shaft bolts. wouldnt know where to find em.. apart from under the van.i'll get me haynes out tomoz.

Yup, CV-Joints and their drive-shaft bolts - classic knocking from the back. But do check your wheel nuts too of course - wiki'll tell you how to check them

naa not cv joint, had that before! mind you it only did it when i went around a corner, this is in a straight line

Drive shaft bolts then... though CV's can still make that clacking sound whether cornering or not, even in reverse.

But there's only one way of finding out... take your hex key socket and go check every one, 28~30 ft-lbs, they might be 12-point star bolts if CVs been done before.
