mpk rooflight dimensions/damaged fiamma headache

Post by spareuser »

Hi can anyone out there help!

I am trying to find a replacement for my old version damaged fiamma rooflight, (the new design is too large externally to fit the flat part on my pop top even though the 360mm square hole is the same)

I have around about 430mm of flat area to fit a new rooflight but will this be enough to fit a 400mm square rooflight and leave some space for mastic as the profile of my roof drops either side!

I was looking at a MPK model rooflight but no websites have anymore details on external size they just mention the apperture size of 400mm x 400mm, and I can't tell much from a photo. Fiamma are much better at providing dimensions!

has anybody got an old fiamma rooflight to sell? or have you fitted a 400mm square mpk and can let me know the details?

regards

Rooflights

Have a look on this website for O'Learys Motorhome stuff.

I have the same problem and posted a question on the JK forum as I have only been able to find 400mm x 400mm rooflights. A very helpful chap pointed me towards this site which sells 360mm x 360mm rooflights in their rooflight section.

Hope this helps.

360mm sqaure rooflight

Post by spareuser »

Thanks for the link, I now have one on order! :D

I have seen these on the net but at other sites they were a fairly steep £65 much cheaper through o'learys @ £35!

I think these are designed for static vans as they have a 75mm collar but i'm sure with a bit of jiggery pokery I'll be able to fit OK.

Thanks again!
