noise from the van

when i'm slowing down at lights.... knock knock kncok from the back. any ideas?

Any more details?

Is it just when your braking?
Does it speed up or slow down with the speed of your van?
Does it stop if you dip the clutch?

Is it just at the lights or does it do it at junctions and zebra crossings etc
