Post by JamesT25 »

Hello,

all the wiring is currently out of my van and thought while its out might as well give it all a clean up and check everything over but can't for the life of me figure out what this is!!

scotch locked up which i dont like for starters but dont know whether to whip it out or just make a decent job of wiring it up!!

any help would be apreciated Here's the pics that could describe more than I ever could

looks like some alarm/imobiliser stuff, I'd remove it if I were you as long as there's no obviously cut or rerouted wires

have traced the wires back to the indicator cables going to the stalk

could these be indicator flasher things????

there is 3 cables to each unit 1 cable connecting the pair and then two more intersecting the cable to the indicator switch

does anyone know where the indicator relay should be i nassume the fuse box????

A tip to get sharpness into those images, if i may?

If your camera hasn't got a close-focus button or setting, just try shooting from a bit further away to allow it to focus. Then even though the image is smaller, its sharp enough to be cropped down and then enlarged.

Cheers

its a electromagnet reed switch, used to make the tell tale on the dash(or sometimes a buzzer sound ) flash when the trailer indecators are working.......
they are normally found in a plastic box, with a expensive name on the outside
