Rear seat belts again

Post by Ray »

I want to fit rear seat belts into a syncro, but dont want to remove the petrol tank! Any ideas? I thought a angled steel bar fixed somehow across the sloped area behind the seat and fixed somehow securely to a side member each side if any availble and then the middle centre belts fixed to that. Any ideas would be helpful.

Ray, I'm planning to do just what you describe. In my van there were already holes drilled though from the wheel arch on each side to fix the rock'n'roll seat (now gone to make way for the 100l LPG tank).

In my re-configured interior these mounting points have been reinforced, and will have a steel angle across which will act as the securing point for two lap-belts.

Thanks for the reply.
Could be possible then. Trouble is I already have a lpg tank under the seat already. Must examine the options a little closer now especially when the weather warms up a little.
