Heater fan belt?

Post by Walrus »

There seems to be a belt to go from the heater fan motor to the fan itself - I can see it flapping around under the ashtray - and the motor squeals if I operate the switch - it seems to be in one piece. Is it possible to get the belt back on (by fumbling thru the available holes/spaces) without taking the dash off?

Fraid so but not tooooo bad once you get started. Don't need to remove steering column as some manuals advocate, just remove drivers seat, top bolts for steeing column (molegrips invariably shift those) and lower column on to spot where seat was.
