Another alternator question...

Just got a new alt and I am having trouble identifing conections...

put that one down to a large portion of user error! cheers.

If anyone can help obviously grubby connected one is existing but can't work out what to connect to where on the new one. Nothing came with it and all markings can be seen in pic. Any help greatly appretiated.

the big red wire goes to the large bolt, the small blue to the small(8mm) bolt, the other red goes on with the big one on the large bolt.

if its a diesel van the revcounter connection goes on the "W"

Probably should have put this in before. I've got 2 brown (approx 5mm)connected seperatly and a red and a blue (both approx2.5mm) connected together. Does this sound right and if it does do I connect both browns to the large bolt and the red and blue to the smaller and ignore the spade connection?

in your case yes, two thick wires to large bolt, two thin wires to small bolt, ignore spades........ those browns looked red on my screen, sorry!
