Daftly dear doors
There's a late one on fleebay starting at a mere £300!! And it's not even a minter! 380077364177
And early ones are rarer... I dread to think what that guy would start one at!

Is the old one not repairable? I know that inner and outer lower skins are available

I am refurbing the old girl at the moment and I have had just such an issue to repair or renew.
Having seen some of the prices for early sliding doors,I bought the necessary panels and repaired. The cost was cheaper than getting a second-hand door.Indeed the two doors I did look at where hardly mint and £250-£300 seems to be the going rate from breakers who know their scarcity value.Painting of course adds to the cost but you would more than likely have to do that anyway to the secondhand door.
How far gone is yours?
Photos would help to make a better judgement.
The more work I do the more I realise that bodywork is everything on these vans!!! Mine was resprayed badly by a past owner 6 years ago at a cost of £3500(have old invoice!!!) before I got her and I am know having to do it properly.Yes I have spent more than she is worth, but she is a keeper and she will go to my kids when they can drive!

I am sure some-one will be along shortly to give us the definitive answer, but I thought the design of the side doors changed from year 1985 onwards?
You could always gaffa tape the entire van then you would not notice!!
Just a thought
