accelerator cable

mine snapped at traffic lights yesterday,thanks to the 2 vw vans who tried to help,anyhoo is it an easy job to fix?does the cable sli in from engine end or front,had to drive it home with some washing line tied to the carb pulling on the line to go a bit faster than idle speed anyway all advice appreciated most gladly,its an 2litre Aircooled t25 rhd manuall called minty by the way

Go from the engine side in.

Not a very tricky job - but two pairs of hands is handy when tightening up the cable at the pedal....
