Gas Conv - switches ?!

Post by mark206000 »

Hi, :D

Just bought a t25 camper which has a gas conversion.

It's got 2 switches connected to the gas, one is black with a P on one side and a G on the other which obviously switches between gas or petrol.

The other one is a white rocker switch which springs back to its original position when pushed. Looked round the back of it and it seems to be wired to something ok.

Any ideas what it does !?!?

:P Cheers,

Oh dear I am up for all sorts of abuse for even pretending I know what I am talking about here but here goes ......

you have a switch which whilst on petrol runs on petrol when on gas runs on gas when in middle position runs the petrol out of carbs after running on petrol and wanting to run on gas...... believe I am correct in saying it is ok to switch whilst running from gas to petrol should you run out but if on petrol then drive whilst switch is on middle setting until petrol runs thro' carbs and you "run out" of petrol then switch to gas .you should have a 5 amp blade fuse possibly situated under or behind steering columm which contols some technical wires of which I fail to understand ....but they must be respected 8)

If my post made you confused then contact an expert if not feel free to ring the samaritans

Ring Steve Shaw (see Gasure numbers on Alternative Fuels Forum) he's a great bloke and will no-doubt explain every LPG system you could have stumbled across. Julie's spot-on as per the G - P switch and swap-over proceedure  .

Cheers,Ian.
