Could somebody cover this subject for the Wiki please...
What VWs orginal specs were, any changes with time, what is OK to substitute i.e. the spec to look for, insist on, and what NOT to use
For WBX's
For Diesels
Could splosh it in here and I'll get it formatted up and posted for you,
Many thanks
Harry

Yes, that is always the best, gives highest frost cover than any other dilution and anti-corrosion ditto (the imp. bit in these mild times)
Best mix it up in a clean pail or watering can first, then it can just be administred as required into the header tank (blue/black cap) either directly or via funnel with long flexy hose, or just through a hose on the can's spout..
Sometimes this is best a 2-person job, as engine may be running and fron needing the odd bleed, or accelerator the odd shove up to 2,000 rpm to keep thewhole procedure going well...

Header, not top-up, fill the header which is usually inside engine bay on the right, proper cap blue... old maybe black.
Clear cap is the top-up tank, disconnect that or leave it open, once header is full and system 90% bled can pu cap on and set level in top-up tank

I herd the main difference between 12 and 12+ was the colour, to stop G12 getting confused with a silularly coloured but incompatable antifrease used by another manufacturer (GM?). Dunno if its true but it sounds plausable, especally if such a mestake could cause a warantee claim on a new car.
