Engine Codes

Post by Popeye- Doyle »

I have a GW 1.9 Petrol engine in my 85 Westfalia Joker. I have been browsing through the engine codes in 'Wiki' and i was wondering (besides BHP) are there any differences with the engines themselves?

Good, bad or just plain shi'ite

cheers

Engine Codes

Apologies for making a simple question as clear as mud.

I noticed in my 1.9 category engine there are 3 types a DF, a DG and a GW.

Without reiterating my original question, besides brake horse power and one being an injection are the engines the same or built differently?

Is one better than the other or more realiable etc?

This being my first bus i was just curious.
