85 ltr fuel tank

Post by swell2316 »

Hello all,
I have an 87 multivan 2 wd with an AAZ fitted. I think the time to replace my fuel tank is quickly approaching. I have seen an 85 ltr tank advertised on a German site, does anyone know if this size tank is available in the UK :?:

That would be the South African tank. Any vendor dealing SA parts should be able to get it for you. I'm not so sure it is worth the cost. In the US the sell for 4-5 times the price of the regular tank.

At those prices, you might as well two new regular sized tanks and have them cut and welded into the same size as the SA tank. The rear crossmember used to accept the gas tank support straps have to be moved backwards to accommodate the extra length.

Cheers,

That's sound advice, I think I'll stick with a regular tank, they're easier to get hold of, easier to fit and a lot cheaper.

Cheers mate.
