Engine won't stop

Engine won't stop

When I turn the key to stop the engine, the engine won't stop. The electrics turn off, but I can even remove the key and she won't stop running.

Any ideas?

She's a 1989 1.7TD Bilbo's Arragon.

Sounds like either a wire or pipe is disconnected. Its a run-on system common to most diesel engines. Look around the fuel and air system.

It isn't reving high is it ? Could be self-fueling ! :shock:

OK I will check around the air and fuel systems.

It isn't revving. I hope it's just a loose pipe.

check the fuel cut of solinoid, could be stuck!!! pull the wire off it and see if that stops it ?
