2000 cu heater quick question.

Post by redstar »

just a quick question please.. my 2000 i believe has all the heat ex on e.t.c. and changes from hot (ish) to cold in the cab. my prob is i am not getting enough air through the heater bit...(towards my feet) had a look underneath, (dontreally know what im doing with it) and noticed that there are cables cut off about 5" from one of the exchangers.. is this normal? do you think the pods (i dont know what they are) are open to allow the warm through? etc etc.... please help me !!!

Check the lever on the control pod, if it is pushed toward the front of the van, its open to allow air to the front. These are sprung and should naturally closed so I expect that this is where your problem is.

The cables tend to rot at the bit it connects to the control pod.

if you want it open try some wire or tape for a temporary solution. most peeps just put up with the cold
