does anyone know if the dash clocks from a 1.6 td van are also compatible with a petrol wagen?
i know they cannot be used for syncro but wondered if this was possible....

Only difference between syncro and non syncro is the speedo drive ratio - everything else is shared with 2wd counterparts.

Diesel dashes have the extra LED for heaterplugs.

Other difference is rev related stuff. Diesel rev counter modules are different but the conections are the same so should be swapable. If its not a revcounter dash that won't be an issue.

The DOP buzer of doom module also has petrol and diesel versions, its the circuit bord behind the speedo face, easy to swap (just thought, I didn't change mine when I swapped the speedo so I wonder if I've still got a diesel one and what would happen with a petrol one - will test my DOP, think it should kick in at 2krpm -Anyone know how to identify which is which, just had a look and they don't have part numbers on them!)

Wireing positions changed from early to late dashes so be careful when swapping. From about 86 the wires stayed the same and featured DOP.
