Vacuum Pump

Post by peteabbott »

During fitting a new clutch slave OH POO I broke something !
1.7 KY diesel 1987.........on the vacuum pump cover where the servo hose fits  silver haired moment and I snapped it off. It looks as though I will need the whole cover as the hose tail/valve seems to be swaged into the pump cover> Some helpfull advice would be appreciated please.

Come on

Is there only one T25 owner out there who knows anything about Vacuum pumps ? I would expect no replies from "that other" VW site as I have not got a BAY or SPLITTY but I must say I am a tad dissapointed with the response. Blokes like me rely on sites like this to keep thier old vans on the road and because of financial restraints as I am not on film stars money I have to do everything myself which I thoroughly enjoy BUT sometimes I need a bit of help. A sensible answer from one of you VW "chums" could save me a lot of misery.
Sorry but I feel better now

My sincere appologies  I completely misread the previous answer.
I had an awfull day today ! I was painting my dads house (he 82 me 57)
and when I took down the scaffold WHAM ! Broken nose and several cuts that the A and E superglued, still its not about looks its all about personality at 57 and I am not going to win friends with my previous comments. Sorry once again to everyone, you have all helped me in the past and I feel a right "idiot" now.
