I suppose this has been asked a 1000 times....

i have the original front seats but want to replace them with something a little more plush with headrests... What's a good replacement?

I've been meaning to ask about this too. Our westy seats are in fair condition but the passenger one is losing all it's horsehair and there's a none-to-comfy spring jutting out a bit.

Ideally I'd love to find somewhere that can keep the cover (Which is worth saving and matches all curtains etc) and re-upolster it.

If too expensive my next lead would be to fit some period VW-VAG-Audi replacements. What's the deal with early eighties seats? - Do they all fit pretty easily - say if I were to find some Jetta seats, or Audi 200 ones or whatever? Hoping this is a 'yes' as there are usually loads on fleabay.

What about more recent VW Group seats - Seat/Sköda etc?

Happy to do some light surgery to a spare pair of rotating seat bases (grinding & drilling but no welding) so I don't damage the actual van) but am not so keen of leaving the VAG nest for Saab Seats.

Unless they're 924 seats maybe as with the B32 they're kinda kosher...
