AAZ or AFN
Hi all, My 1.6td jx( i think) has packed up on me and i'm gonna fit another engine i have the help of a good mate who is a mechanic and was wondering if there is much difference in fitting an AFN engine as there is to fitting an AAZ??What i would like to know is will i need to buy many extra parts to fit the AFN as opposed to fitting the AAZ lump. Also I will be running the same 5 speed box i have at the mo if i can.The reason i want to run the AFN is for the horsepower as i think if i'm gonna do the job i might as well go the full hog
Thanks all in advance for the advice.

Lots of peoples experiences on brickyard about TDI's - some even claim to run them on the same gearboxes but with bigger tyres...
Yup, and of course you can get the engine installation sorted first and change the box later, if it proves too low overall...
