speculative heating question !!

A bit vague I know but I have an auxilary heater under the bus behind the undershield that I think might be an eberspacher but need to explore further. It doesn't work.
My question is could it likely be any other make? Are they easy to repair or should I get it professionally looked at?
How good are they in comparison with propex and other makes?
The heating is pants in my Aircooled, does the eberspacher work when the vehicle is being driven or is it for static use only?

As I said, vague !!!
I just need some good all round heating source for general driving and camping use and just trying to weigh up repair existing "stuff" or replace with a "better" option

it might even be a propex as they made under slung heaters

and I think propex is better than eberspin, spacker whatever
