The standard Bosch version should be fine, why do you suspect it ? You're not getting intermittent hesitation after cruising for while are you ? Do you have a VSS fitted ?

Yes it dies during cruising. It makes whirring noises. Is very noisy at tick over. I do have a VSS. AND if you put your foot to the floor or drop a gear to overtake it hesitates.

Has it done this since it was installed ? Does your installer have anything to say about it ?

If I were you I'd check all your electrical connections are OK, and that there are no air leaks into the intake tract, before doing anything else.

I have been reading the subaruvanagon site and it would appear to be the VSS that is the problem. How would i go about checking this? or should i just let the scooby mechanic at it?
I'm running a small car VSS and allegedly these have a high failure rate.
