Is this when running on LPG or petrol, you don't specify?

Are thje plug gaps set properly for LPG?

How did it break down?
How was it going up till then?
What is the history of its conversion and running?
What does the grage know about LPG conversions?
etc...

Check they didn't knock the LPG lines.

There are two gold nuts on the line just before the Y junction. Check the arrows marked on by Gasure are both pointing in the same direction. Turn them with your fingers so they are both on the Y end and in line with the pipes.

Call Steve, he explains it alot better than me!

What I was asking, mainly, was is it running badly on petrol or LPG?

Was the starting problem just an electrric starter problem, say a flat battery so the engine wouldn't turn over on the key?

So what is your next step then, other than checking those valvy things :)

Trouble with swopping/replacing rather than objective diagnosis is that every time you replace or alter something you are liable to cause the odd problem along the way so the vehicle finishes up more busted than before. Clever as I am I spent several hundreds of pounds sorting out my obviously decrepit ignition system before discovering I had an intermittent problem with my ECU. Sad thing is my ex Specialist Cars mechanic mate helped me all along the way! You need a tame VW man who aint on an hourly rate.
Good luck with it anyway.

Check the plug leads are on the right way ..... 1 and 2 (right side when viewed from't rear) cross over each other, t'others don't.
