Our Family Van
This is our first van.
I bought it from Scotland and drove it back to surrey, The reason i went so far for it is, it has had the 1.9 TD conversion from a 95 golf.
It runs lovely but does need some work. I am not sure but i think it is a diy conversion.

I am going to repaint it, sort out the interior, pics to follow.
We have been away in it twice so far, 3 and 4 nights in the new forest, needs the bed sorting out, not comfy at all, other than that is ace, got an awning for her, wife has called her Myrtle.

Thanks Kathy
Cheers, I hope i can get it nearly as nice as yours then i will be happy. Needs some work like i said, inside is a bit tatty, its all there but the bed is a futon at the moment, i have just refurbed a rock n roll bed frame, that will be going in soon. There is no rear wardrobe, but that suits our needs at the moment more room for large storage, portable cot fits there folded. only fitted cupboards at the mo are under the gas 2 ring stove and sink and the box under the futon, we have no fridge yet keeping my eye open for one, whats your cool bx like? any good?
Kathy do you sleep in your high top ? we use ours for storage at the moment, will have to get some foam cut for it when i get the foam for the rnr bed.
I have a set of Porsche 944 alloys coming this week.
What have people on here got against Just Kampers ? i think they have some good stuff, have you seen bluebird customs ? they have some good stuff.
Cheers for the response sorry for rambling. PS i think you have confirmed my suspicion that this is a homebrew camper.

I'm a bit of a worrier when it comes to gas fridges, so preferred to use the electric cool box. To be fair it works extremely well on hookup, and totally does what we need. runs on 12 v when driving too. got it from halfords. Its all exciting sorting your van out, deciding what to do with it etc. Hope it all goes well. I bought 2 sets of alloys after buying our van, but didn't realise how expensive tyres where, so sold THE first lot on, and still got the second set at my mums. Really must get around to getting shut of em.
Jk and Bluebird are good for some things, but are overpriced for others. Got my rock n roll bed from bluebird.

Cheers you guys what a warm welcome.

Thanks, [img:400:300]http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o54/ ... wheels.jpg[/img]
I think they fit i, read the massive post about wheels, i might need a spacer, i think i will need extended studs for the back wheels, and alloy wheel nuts for the rear and bolts for the fronts, im not worried about that minor job for me
